McMahon completed a roadway safety audit and corridor traffic study focused on developing a short- and long-term improvement program that provided a balanced focus for the County on improving safety and enhancing capacity, while minimizing negative impacts to individual access on the corridor. McMahon conducted a field inventory to document current physical conditions and possible constraints to implementation of future improvements along the study corridor. Traffic volume counts at midblock and intersections were performed, as well as existing and future capacity analysis of roadway links and intersections. Traffic signal warrant analysis at unsignalized study intersections was also considered. McMahon developed recommended improvements to accommodate future growth in traffic along the corridor for the County.
