J. David Hill, Project Manager, has experience in survey, CADD, plans production, roadway design and project management since 1987. Early in his career, Mr. Hill served as a survey rod person and instrument person for right-of-way, utility, roadway design, construction staking and as-built surveys. Following that, he worked as a CADD technician on both site/civil and transportation projects and then focused primarily on transportation design. As a transportation designer and project manager, his experience includes pavement design and typical section packages, horizontal and vertical alignments, cross-sections and earthwork, digital terrain modeling, signing and pavement marking, signalization, and maintenance of traffic, primarily on state DOT projects. The types of projects he has worked on include both Metric and English unit reconstruction and resurfacing projects, design-build projects, minor projects and intersection improvements, PD&E and planning studies, and pathway and water resource projects. Mr. Hill has also served as an office CADD coordinator and CADD system administrator and has a sound working knowledge of Microstation and Geopak Roadway Design software.
