Principal & Vice President
John DePalma is a Principal and Vice President for McMahon and a member of the firm’s Board of Directors. During the past decade, John has been engaged in the oversight of McMahon’s Geographic Information System (GIS) and Custom Software division, as well as the development of software applications for asset management to serve municipal and private sector clients. This division is now a separate entity called TRAISR, LLC. which John continues to oversee. John develops transportation design/planning, traffic engineering and highway design projects for McMahon in our Florida region.
In his more than 40 years in the industry, John has worked for state and local governments in Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, and has served as Principal-in-Charge/Project Manager on significant projects for limited access highway development plans, corridor evaluation studies, and roadway and signal design projects. Additionally, John has considerable experience developing and leading public involvement programs, including facilitating workshops to build consensus among the public, business and special governmental agencies.
John is actively involved in several organizations that provide services for GIS, and asset management applications, such as ESRI, SIMA, ASCA and APWA, for both municipal and private sector clients.
Outside of McMahon, John enjoys bike riding, kayaking, hiking in the mountains and traveling (a lot).
