Maureen Chlebek

P.E., PTOE

Vice President & Regional Manager - New England

Maureen Chlebek is Vice President and Regional Manager for the New England region. Maureen joined McMahon in 2008, and has been a critical part of the region’s growth and success. As Regional Manager, Maureen drives New England’s strategic direction, including team and project development and expansion, for the region’s five offices. 


With more than 34 years of transportation engineering management experience, Maureen has elevated McMahon’s presence in the industry by managing numerous projects for state, municipal and private clients. Her duties have included performing transportation planning and traffic analyses for multimodal corridor studies, circulation studies, signalization projects, parking studies, impact studies, traffic calming, transit studies, and municipal master plans.

 

Maureen's signature projects include working with MassDOT and RIDOT on the following: Casey Arborway Project – Boston; McGrath Boulevard Design – Somerville, MA; On-Call State Traffic Design Consultant Services – Statewide, RI; On-Call State Traffic Commission Traffic Studies – Statewide, RI; Transportation Master Plan – Waltham, MA; and the Route 28/Main Street Transportation Master Plan – Falmouth, MA.

In addition, Maureen has appeared before numerous municipal boards and commissions to provide expert witness testimony/presentations. She has testified before numerous boards in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island, and in front of the Rhode Island Board of Health and the Rhode Island Energy Facility Siting Board. Maureen also presented as an expert in her field to schools, professional society chapters and at conferences.

Maureen is very active in professional societies in New England, including:

  • Rhode Island Chapter of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (RIITE) (2009–2014), Member

  • Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS), Boston, Member (2011–present)

  • Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society


Maureen enjoys spending time with family.  She is an avid cyclist and has participated in a number of charity bike rides for organizations such as MS. Being a bit of a foodie, Maureeen enjoys cooking and baking. She also enjoys traveling.
