McMahon provides clients with solutions to corridor congestion and delay by investigating and designing traffic signalization systems that fits the governing agency’s needs. Numerous closed loop systems have been designed and implemented while newer technology utilizes adaptive capabilities designed to adapt to changing traffic conditions.
Benefits achieved by coordinated systems included reliable timing plans helping to minimize traffic delay along the corridor. New adaptive technologies provide continuous distribution of green time to all traffic movements; improved travel time and progression along a main arterial; reduction of congestion due to improved traffic flows; and increase the duration of the effectiveness of traffic signal timings.
McMahon has worked with various developers, municipalities and state agencies to deliver high quality, implementable solutions and strategies to corridors throughout our region.
