McMahon, as lead consultant for this estimated $1.0 million dollar TAP funded project, responsible for the design of approximately 2,100 linear feet of sidewalk, bike lanes, five (5) raised crosswalks, twenty-two (22) ADA compliant curb ramps at all existing and proposed crossings within the project limits, landscaped berm, and ADA compliant driveway crossings. McMahon was responsible for designing conventional roadway drainage and subsurface infiltration trenches to control the runoff from the sidewalk and gutter flow along the bike lanes. The project process includes environmental studies/clearance (CEE Document), public involvement, right‐of‐way acquisition (temporary construction easements), utility coordination, preliminary engineering and final design, storm water design, preparation of Plans, Specifications and Estimate (PS&E) package. The project will be submitted and advertised for construction through PennDOT’s Engineering & Construction Management System (ECMS). Construction was completed in the Summer of 2017.
