McMahon conducted a comprehensive study in Downtown Phoenixville to evaluate existing parking deficiencies and future parking needs. The successful revitalization of the area has caused parking concerns among business owners, residents, and visitors so the study explored ways to improve the parking situation to support continued growth and prosperity for the business community while also addressing the concerns of the adjacent neighborhoods.

The study provided an implementation plan with recommendations for both short-term and long-term solution, which addressed parking management, wayfinding, streetscape and lighting, as well as pedestrian accommodation in order to offset the need for costly parking infrastructure in the near term.

The study included a public outreach component to identify key parking and transportation concerns. The outreach plan included one-on-one stakeholder interviews with business owners, an online public parking survey, and an interactive public workshop.
