McMahon performed roadway and shared-use path design and traffic engineering services for the S.R. 0202 Gateway Improvement Project along S.R. 0202 and S.R. 0032 (River Road) in Solebury Township and New Hope Borough. The project provided for a network of shared-use paths and roadway improvements (lane configuration modifications) for pedestrians and bicyclists to navigate along highway segments of S.R. 0032 and S.R. 0202.
McMahon was responsible for preparing the construction plans and traffic signal permit plans that were required for this project both as Highway Occupancy Permits and PennDOT Project Delivery documents associated with the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) funding. New trail design and upgrading existing portions of the trail were part of the project. Additionally, McMahon provided a new pedestrian crossing on S.R. 0032 (River Road) that connected Canal Park to Magill’s Hill Park. Other services McMahon provided included coordination between utility companies, PennDOT District 6-0, Solebury Township, and the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission.
