McMahon participated in the formulation of the Pennsylvania legislation, which was passed in 1990. Since that time, we have completed dozens of studies for municipalities including Upper Providence Township in 2019.   The Upper Providence Township transportation impact fee study included the evaluation of traffic impacts at 40 intersections across two Transportation Service Areas as a result of approximately 1,300 residential units and 2 million square feet of non-residential land development projected in the township’s Land Use Assumptions report.  We continue to support many of the townships with regard to calculation of the trip basis for levying the fees. McMahon also provides the necessary coordination with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation on improvements to state highways contained in the Act 209 programs, as well as independent verification of traffic impact studies performed by others, related to development responsibility in implementing the programmed transportation improvements.
